A car dealer has paid to an individual during the loan process was going to buy a new car …?

Trader loaned a car to a person in Texas, while the loan process was in progress on a new car purchase. For this loan, the car can be removed from city, but only in Texas or is this considered theft in Houston, Texas?

Hi Amber I would say that if you have documentation that you have permission stealership to drive the vehicle, it should be no provision for such use, unless expressly involved in the loan documents. If you do not have a loan document for the loan of vehicles and has a dealer plate on this, I would ask the dealer to provide one. The car loan "document is required in almost all states where there is a license plate to a customer.

Arriving in the thick of MTV, when the slick sounds of yacht-soul were fading, Whitney Houston is the foundation of diva-pop, straddling clean, cheery R&B and big ballads designed with the adult contemporary audience in mind. Houston`s background lay in the former — actually, it was even riskier, encompassing a stint with the experimental Bill Laswell outfit Material — and her benefactor Clive Davis knew all about selling records to the masses. Appealing as this album is, Davis may never have imagined how Whitney Houston would shift tastes, pushing toward skyscraping ballads where the singer`s affectations, not the songs, were paramount — a move that later led to hollow records, but on Whitney Houston the songs were as important as the immaculate productions. Certainly, the showstopping "Greatest Love of All" provided the blueprint for decades of divas, but it`s the only overblown moment here, with the rest of the ballads — notably "Saving All My Love for You" and "You Give Good Love" — burning slowly and seductively, but what really impresses some 20-plus years on are the lighter tracks, particularly the breakthrough single "How Will I Know" and the unheralded "Thinking About You," a dance/R&B hit co-written by Kashif that remains one of Whitney`s purest pop pleasures. These joyful, rhythmic moments faded away from Houston`s later work — and also rarely surfaced on the records of those who followed her — but their presence on this debut turns this into a fully rounded record, the rare debut that manages to telegraph every aspect of an artist`s career in a mere ten songs. [The 2010 25th anniversary edition of Whitney Houston is expanded with five bonus tracks -- remixes of "Thinking About You," "Someone for Me," "How Will I Know," a live version of "Greatest Love of All

Includes liner notes by Ray Osnato and Houston Person.Personnel: Houston Person (tenor saxophone); Stan Hope (piano); Chip White (drums).Liner Note Author: Houston Person.Recording information: Van Gelder Studios, Englewood Cliffs, NJ (01/19/2000).Photographer: John Abbott .Houston Person is an excellent, underrated tenor saxophonist with a full, rich tone and a knack for well-constructed, tasteful, but never boring solos. That said, he`s occasionally guilty of giving the people what they want, releasing smooth and conservative albums that are perfectly enjoyable to listen to, but somewhat beneath what he`s capable of. 2000`s In a Sentimental Mood is exactly that; this collection of standards features some excellent performances of classic ballads, but it`s all so polite that it`s hard to see the set as anything more than better-than-average background music. Foregoing his usual organ accompaniment, Person teams up with pianist Stan Hope, standup bassist George Kaye, and drummer Chip White for a classic piano trio-plus-sax lineup, and the song selection is undeniable: you just can`t go wrong with tunes like "My Funny Valentine," "All the Things You Are," and "Don`t Get Around Much Anymore." Yet there are so few risks taken on In a Sentimental Mood that one doesn`t even have to listen to the album; anyone who knows these songs and Houston Person`s characteristic sound already knows what this album sounds like. It sounds terrific, but it`s hard not to want more. ~ Stewart Mason Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.

Houston Deco (Hardcover)

Houston Deco (Hardcover)

$19.76

When it comes to art deco, Houston is rarely cited in the same breath as Miami, New York, or Los Angeles, but this Texas city boasts many gorgeous examples of this early 20th-century style, some of which are in jeopardy of being forever altered or demolished. In the 1920s, as Houston was beginning its transition from medium-sized Southern city to major American metropolis, local business and civic leaders made a conscious decision to create a new image for their community. As the Roaring Twenties gave way to the Great Depression, Art Deco zigzags and Art Moderne streamlining reshaped the city`s stores, skyscrapers, factories, and apartment buildings. More than 100 color photographs showcase the fine detailing on Houston`s surviving Art Deco and Art Moderne structures. From downtown landmarks to east end industrial sites, this lavish guide captures the grace and beauty of these innovative designs with an eye towards the importance of conservation, restoration, and preservation.

Personnel: Houston Person (tenor saxophone); Richard Wyands (piano); Russell Malone (guitar); Peter Washington (bass); Grady Tate (drums).Recorded at Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey on May 22, 2002. Includes liner notes by Joan Merrill.Personnel: Houston Person (tenor saxophone); Russell Malone (guitar); Richard Wyands (piano); Grady Tate (drums).Audio Mixer: Rudy Van Gelder.Recording information: Van Gelder Studios, Englewood Cliffs, NJ (05/22/2002).Photographer: William Rivelli. As the 21st century began, Houston Person was one of the last in a tradition of tough-toned but warm tenors able to straddle the boundaries between soul-jazz, hard bop, and soulful R&B. An expert at caressing and uplifting melodies, Person plays in the tradition of Gene Ammons. Person is in excellent form throughout this quartet/quintet date with pianist Richard Wyands, bassist Peter Washington, drummer Grady Tate, and, on four of the nine selections, guitarist Russell Malone. In fact, the combination of Person and Malone works so well that hopefully someday they will record a full album together. All of the tunes are veteran standards, with Person particularly digging into "A Sunday Kind of Love," "It Had to Be You," "Black Velvet," and "Canadian Sunset." Houston Person has recorded many fine albums for High Note and its predecessor, Muse, through the years. Sentimental Journey is a strong example of his talents. ~ Scott Yanow Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.

Whitney Houston – Whitney: The Greatest Hits

$15.46

Personnel includes: Whitney Houston, Deborah Cox, Kelly Price, George Michael, Jermaine Jackson, Faith Evans, Enrique Iglesias.Producers include: Raphael Saadiq, Q-Tip, David Foster, Rodney Jerkins, Wyclef Jean.Includes liner notes by Amy Linden. It should come as no surprise that a woman who counts Dionne Warwick as a cousin, Aretha Franklin as a family friend, and whose mother was a legendary session and gospel singer, became a phenomenally successful R&B act. Perhaps more surprising is that it took 17 years after first signing with Arista for Whitney Houston to produce her first greatest hits album. These hits are neatly compartmentalized into a "Cool Down" and a "Throw Down" disc, the former featuring ballads such as "Saving All My Love for You," while the latter showcases remixes of Whitney`s uptempo singles such as "How Will I Know." Four new songs, three of which are duets, are also included. At the time of release, her golden voice had led to 16 Number 1 hits (that`s two more than Madonna), an Emmy, Grammys and several notable collaborations. A stocking-filler for years to come, we`ll wager. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
